Courtney Hansen keeps client feedback organized using LeaseUp

Courtney Hansen, Transaction Manager at Rokos Advisors in Minneapolis, started using LeaseUp at the same time as beginning a new role as transaction manager. Prior to LeaseUp, her workflow for surveys and tour books was “super tedious”: manually format data from a CSV into a PowerPoint template that someone at the office had previously made. Following that, she’d add any flyers or brochures for a property, make a cover page, and package everything together.

LeaseUp’s ability to easily reuse data and client-friendly design has been a game-changer for Courtney’s business. “For the most part, everything I've done since we've had LeaseUp has been in LeaseUp.”

Same-day turnaround on surveys

Before LeaseUp, if Courtney wanted to reuse building data, she'd first have to remember which previous file it was in, search her hard drive and/or email to find it, then manually import that old data into a new PowerPoint. A first-round survey of 8 to 15 properties would take her half a day or more, depending on what information was available to her.

Now, with LeaseUp, she can get the same survey done in an hour or two, “depending on how granular and detailed I want to be.” Courtney feels more confident in giving her clients a same-day turnaround time.

Reusable data cuts down on manual data entry

The majority of Courtney’s clients are in the Twin Cities, and LeaseUp saves her manual effort when reusing building data. "I love that LeaseUp keeps the history, the properties we added. There is a lot of overlap at times, especially with office property. So it's amazing that LeaseUp saves that information so you're not re-inputting it every time."

Multi-market deals can result in an exponential increase in communications in some cases, but LeaseUp lets Courtney get deals done in Minneapolis and St. Paul with consistent and efficient surveys across both markets.

Clients prefer communicating and collaborating through LeaseUp

In her old system of making surveys, in addition to making a PDF, Courtney would often print and bind as well, adding another step and more cost. When she started using LeaseUp she’d ask clients what they thought. “Do you like this better? Would you rather have paper?” All of them said they’d rather have it digitally.

When Courtney emails a LeaseUp link to a client now, she tells clients that she will receive comments and feedback made directly within the platform, but she can also receive feedback over email. “Almost always, people will make those comments within the [LeaseUp] survey,” she says, estimating that 75% of the clients to whom she’s sent a LeaseUp survey have interacted with the platform and used the comment section. "It's way easier for me to keep myself organized that way, also.”
